LONDON GUILD OF WEAVERS, SPINNERS AND DYERS MEMBERS EXHIBITION
11 November - 22 November 2025
This exhibition celebrates 75 years of the London Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers, founded in 1950. It showcases contemporary hand weaving, spinning, and dyeing by Guild members. Forward- looking and rooted in heritage, the works reflect innovative approaches to traditional techniques. They explore contemporary themes such as climate change, sustainability, and the handmade, demonstrating the enduring relevance and evolving practice of textile skills in today’s world.
About the London Guild of Weavers:
The London Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers is a membership organisation that meets regularly, both in person and online, to share its collective passion for weaving, spinning, and dyeing.
Alongside its monthly guest speakers, the Guild offers a range of special-interest groups dedicated to loom weaving, tapestry weaving, spinning, and dyeing. Members are welcome to join as many groups as they like. These groups provide a supportive environment for learning, exchanging knowledge, and showcasing new work, as well as serving as valuable sources of information on equipment, materials, suppliers, workshops, and all aspects of the crafts.
The Guild also publishes a magazine three times a year to keep members informed about Guild activities and other textile-related events.
