"The natural world and my long distance travels are the main themes inspiring my work. I have explored tropical coral reefs, mineral treasures of deserts and remote regions of the world. Silver is my favourite precious metal to work with, I like to make surface pattern using tools such as etching, reticulation, oxidising and any techniques that transform in an interesting way. I recently travelled to Japan and was strongly impacted by the rich history and culture of art and design there. I’m now inspired to develop ideas incorporating textiles and found objects."
