My work has a very personal meaning that runs through it. I have a big interest in mental health, the challenges that it can have on people’s lives and those close to them. I have a passion for colour and the positive effect it can project on us, the workings of the brain and how we can influence certain functions.
Alongside this is my love of butterflies, they have a very special and spiritual meaning to me. They link the loss of my daughter, her love of butterflies and the importance of them at her funeral. Both my daughter’s life and the form of butterflies have a vulnerability and fragility to them that can so easily be damaged and destroyed. The impact of losing a child and the devastating effect that this can have on a family is enormous.
